Melhorando a qualidade das publicações e avançando os paradigmas da pesquisa em Farmácia Prática Clínica e Social: Declaração de Granada

Resumo

A Farmácia e as Ciências Farmacêuticas abrangem uma série de diferentes disciplinas. A farmácia prática foi definida como “a disciplina científica que estuda os diferentes aspectos da prática da farmácia e seu impacto nos sistemas de saúde, uso de medicamentos e atendimento ao paciente”. Assim, os estudos da farmácia prática abrangem elementos tanto da farmácia clínica quanto da farmácia social. Como qualquer outra disciplina científica, a farmácia prática clínica e social divulga os resultados da pesquisa usando revistas científicas. Os editores de revistas de farmácia clínica e farmácia social têm um papel na promoção da disciplina, melhorando a qualidade dos artigos publicados. Como ocorreu em outras áreas da saúde (isto é, medicina e enfermagem), um grupo de editors de revistas de farmácia prática clínica e social reuniu-se em Granada (Espanha) para discutir como as revistas poderiam contribuir para o fortalecimento da farmácia prática como disciplina. O resultado dessa reunião foi compilado nesta Declaração de Granada, que compreende 18 recomendações reunidas em seis tópicos: o uso apropriado de terminologia, resumos impactantes, necessidade de revisão por pares, dispersão de periódicos, uso mais eficaz e sábio de métricas de desempenho de periódicos e artigos, e seleção dos periódicos de farmácia prática mais apropriado pelos autores para o envio de seus trabalhos.
