Antiemetics utilization in antineoplastic treatment of oncologic patients

Anticancer drugs exert their function for cancer by bringing numerous side effects to the patient. For treatment regimens in cancer due to antineoplastic employees, the most frequent side effects are nausea and vomiting. Such events are capable of causing refusal to continue the treatment for discomfort that leads to the patient, due to this fact, the use of antiemetic regimen of chemotherapy is a crucial factor. The objective is to bring a literature review of physiology of nausea and vomiting and antiemetics most commonly used for preventing nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy used to treat cancer.
