Use of antipsychotics in schizophrenia care at different areas of mental health

The model of care to people with mental disorders in Brazil has undergone changes in the last two decades culminating in formation of new care space with differentiated profile outpatient and hospitalization. Research trod to study the use of antipsychotics in schizophrenia in different care areas, namely: hospitalization, outpatient and Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS). It is a study of the use of drugs. patient records data were collected: the Internment in CAPS and Clinic. Data were planks and analyzed regarding the guidelines for the pharmacological treatment of schizophrenia, defined in Therapeutic Protocols and Guidelines of the Ministry of Health, published in 2013. There was no difference in drug treatment prescribed in different care areas observed. The results suggest the permanence of prescribing practices in new care model of care health mental.
