Methods: Were carried out searches in electronic databases LILACS, SciELO, Cochrane Library, PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, ISI/Web of Science, Scopus and Redalyc, using descriptors defined by PICO strategy. The results were analyzed in order to describe the influence of Pharmacotherapeutic follow-up in control of fasting glucose, postprandial glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin of Type 2 Diabetic Mellitus patients in drug treatment in Brazil.
Results: From six identified articles, five were selected due to be qualified by inclusion criteria established for this review. These articles came to studies carried out in São Paulo and Paraná states and only one of them presented good methodological quality.
